OUR WORK
We advocate for the mainstreaming of disability in all policies, legislation and programs, thereby campaigning for the entrenchment of disability into existing and upcoming development frameworks, agendas and processes as directed by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), (2006). Such an endeavour does not mean adding separate disability policies, laws and programs, but it means integration of disability in existing and future mainstream frameworks. We also advocate for the design and implementation of targeted disability policies, laws and programs, thereby using a twin-track approach (mainstreaming disability and targeted disability initiatives). We therefore seek to combat inequality on the grounds of disability, thereby contributing to positive individual and societal change, in scenarios where persons with disabilities enjoy their full human rights in equality with all other citizens; we envisage a society which is fully accessible, supportive, and inclusive of persons with disabilities. OUR TEAM
Our team consists of accomplished and widely recognized experts. They include persons with and without disabilities, youth, parents and caregivers of children and youth with disabilities, and experienced practitioners from diverse sectors. Many hold advanced degrees across diverse disciplines, including Master’s Degrees in Disability Studies, and they bring extensive experience working with persons with disabilities across sectors.

Some of our team members are “experts by experience,” drawing on their lived realities as persons with disabilities or as caregivers, parents, and guardians of children and youth with disabilities. Together, we promote a culture of diversity and collaboration, building fluid teams with the right balance of skills and backgrounds.

We are committed to delivering quality services to a wide range of targeted beneficiaries, including governments, United Nations (UN) agencies, donors, community support organizations (CSOs), international and local NGOs, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), the private sector, academia, media, commissions, and other stakeholders.
